There’s plenty to see in Port de Pollença

While simply strolling around and soaking up the atmosphere is a delight in itself, Port de Pollença also has several must-see attractions.

One of these is the Pine Walk, one of the port’s most iconic spots. It runs along the coast, offering an impressive view of the bay and mountains. You should also visit the Marina, which presents a curious mix of traditional fishing boats and luxury yachts.

The best beaches in Port de Pollença

That list of things to see in Port de Pollença is great, but now let’s get to the important bit: the best beaches you can enjoy in this part of Mallorca – and there are plenty.

The main beach in Port de Pollença, which shares the town’s name, is spacious and very accessible. It’s perfect for families thanks to its calm, shallow waters. Plus, it has all the amenities you could need: parasol and sunbed rentals, showers, beach bars, and more.

However, our favourite by far is Albercutx Beach, which is small and very peaceful. Located at the end of the Pine Walk, it’s perfect if you’re looking for a more secluded spot, surrounded by pine trees with stunning views of the bay.

That said, Cala Boquer also holds a special place in our hearts. It’s an idyllic place to relax and ideal for snorkelling, though the only drawback is that it requires a walk of more than half an hour to reach. The good news? The route is very picturesque and offers breathtaking views.

Activities you can’t miss in Port de Pollença

Port de Pollença offers a plethora of activities for all tastes. The most popular ones are water-based activities. The calm waters of the bay are perfect for sports like paddleboarding, snorkelling, kayaking, or windsurfing. There are several schools and rental centres along the coast, so it doesn’t matter whether you’re a beginner or an expert – there are plenty of options.

And the sea-based plans don’t end there. From the marina, daily boat excursions depart, taking you to explore hidden coves, sea caves, and the surroundings of Cape Formentor – a great way to see the coast from a different perspective.

As mentioned earlier, there’s a lot to see in Port de Pollença, partly due to its proximity to the Serra de Tramuntana, making it an excellent starting point for hiking or cycling, like the climb to Puig de Maria, which offers panoramic views of the entire region.
